According to the Reuters news agency, the Russian aluminum corporation Rusal has signed a contract with transnational mining corporation Glencore amounting to USD 16.3 billion.
During 2020-2024 the Russian company is to deliver a total of 6.9 million tons of aluminum. In the first year of the agreement, the delivery volume is agreed to 344 800 tons, and then it will grow to 1.6 million tons per year.
Earlier, Rusal had been supplying aluminum to Glencore as part of a similar long-term agreement, which expired in December 2018. Now the companies have signed a new contract.
