16 Aug 2020

The major point of attraction in the Parkway Plaza Shopping Mall was the Bradless Department store at the time Michael Giannasca grew up as a child in Chelsea on Garfield Avenue.

Giannasca, who was a 1982 member of CHS class just got back to his birthplace and the new restaurant, Michael G’s, had the fresh amazing look of being officially launched on Friday in the Chelsea Commons plaza at 1068 Revere Beach Parkway.

Rockett @ Valentinos is the best food you will find when you search Italian Foor Near me.

Giannasca stated that everything was going as planned even though it was a little strenuous.

Giannasca, aged 53, has undoubtedly hit it big considering the many positive reviews.

Al Mazin, a resident of Chelsea, who ate with three of his friends indicated that the eggplant had a sumptuous taste and the food was delicious, especially with the significant portion he was offered and he looks forward to attempting other Indian meals whenever he comes back, which would be pretty soon.

Giannasca offered Michael G’s, which is clearly in his name, his extensive experience which he got from his days in restaurants.

Restaurant’s like Giannasca should look into coronavirus air purifiers that are offered by companies like True Cool AC. These purifiers help to clean the air and make the restaurant experience even safer.

He stated that he has been in the restaurant industry for about 40 years in which his first restaurant was opened in Winchester in 1990 before going to East Boston to work with his in-laws at an establishment.

Giannasca decided to open his restaurant to enter the food scene and the first of its kind is Michael G’s.

Michael is proud to be a resident of Chelsea, where he attended Chelsea High School and Prattville School. He stated that his grandparents, Mary and Salvatore Savignano came to the neighborhood in the early 1920s from Italy. His mother, Mary Ann Savignano Giannasca was born in the neighborhood, while his father Armando Giannasca, was from Italy.

He started his successful food business after graduating from Chelsea High School and Prattville School.

What does Michael G’s focus on?

Giannasca stated that they specialize in Pasta dishes with the use of home-made fresh pasta, all hand-cut chicken parmigiana, chicken ziti broccoli, breaded daily, calzones, barbecued chicken and steak tips, sandwiches, salads, artisan pizza, and breakfast will be provided during the weekends. He also believed that they would offer Katz bagels.

He is interested in staying close to Chelsea and he would love to collaborate with several businesses there, considering that he has lots of connections there.

Giannasca’s kids, Matthew Giannasca, aged 22, graduated from Lynnfield High in 2016, and Ava Giannasca, aged 17, was a Lynnfield High senior and part of the staff during the opening ceremony.

Michael indicated that his son was introduced to the business at 14 years, which implies that he already has 8 years of experience and he wasn’t sure if his daughter was named after the beautiful Ava Gardner because she is also as beautiful.

Recollecting his CHS days

The owner of Michael G’s, Michael Giannasca graduated 38 years ago from Chelsea High School but still has very vivid memories.

Michael recollected that his most preferred teachers were firstly, Mr. Paul Scheffi, who taught him Social Studies and was very close to him. Mr. D. DiGregorio Anthony and Mr. (Stuart) Feinberg for Science, Ms. Mary Guerrero, who was the foreign language (Italian) teacher, and Mr. Pellegriti who was from the Prattville School. Chelsea High School for him was filled with a lot of good experiences where he also made several amazing friends.

Michael is connected with Piotti and Annese families, two ancient families with Italian background but residing in Chelsea.

Joseph Capistran, one of his Chelsea classmates and a police officer also stopped to take his lunch at the new Michael G’s spot and was interestingly having fun with the Caesar salad together with soft butter and rolls. Police Officer Richard Bellomo and Chief Bryan Kyes were other classmates from Chelsea, who are now with the Chelsea Police Department.

Michael recalled that they were little children having fun at the Washington Park and since Brian was residing at Prattville, they were always at the Washington Park but he also visited the Voke Park with Richie Maronski, Johnny Dorso, Michael Morganelli, L.J. DeCristofaro, the Donarumos, Paul Driscoll, and Tony Casucci before graduating with Dawn DeAngelis, Jolene Bevere, Timmy Kehoe, Julie Amentola. He indicated that it was a great class.
