Dr. Merrell is married to Tricia and they have 3 children, Preston age 11 and Mary Grace age 10 and Thomas age 5. He enjoys spending quality time with his family, fly fishing, hiking and camping.
Dr. Merrell was born in Anderson, South Carolina in 1973. He earned his Eagle Scout honor in 1989, attended High School in Arden, North Carolina at T.C. Roberson and graduated with a B.S. in Zoology from N.C State University in 1996. Upon graduating from Temple University School of Dentistry in 2002, Dr. Merrell completed the Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at UNC – Chapel Hill where he learned many of the advanced techniques he performs today.
Dr. Merrell is entering his 16th year in dentistry and enjoys the advanced technologies he can offer his patients.
