Rongai is a beautifully located trekking base camp in the foothills of Kilimanjaro. The Rongai route hike begins at Nalemoru gate altitude height of 1950. The trekking route is gentle and climbs to the summit at 5,988m and then descends through the forests of Horombo hut to Marangu gate. You will be walking through lush forests and flower fields with a beautiful mountain backdrop on all sides, and you will enjoy the cool breeze of the highlands.
