Forrest Logistics specialises in oversized load transport and we have an extensive fleet of trucks, some of them customised specifically for certain types of jobs, for example when we transport steel. We are always expanding our fleet to ensure that we have the most up-to-date trucks to accommodate a wide range of different loads. Here are some of the different trucks we have available:
Dolly and steerable jinkers: Coupled to one of our prime movers, a dolly trailer or a steerable jinker maximises the truck’s carrying capacity. The main difference between these two vehicles is that a dolly trailer is attached to the truck with a turntable and the jinker by a cable, pole or the load itself.
Platform trailers: Usually used for general heavy hauling up to a max of 1300 tonnes, we can extend these trailers to accommodate large farm machinery, cranes, trains, and so on.
Extendable trailers: These include drop deck trailers, drop deck extendable trailers, extendable low loaders and deck wideners. These are mainly used for really long or wide loads.
Vessel carrier: We use these for loads that need to be carried low to the ground, usually due to their excessive height.
