Tony Adar, MD is a double board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon who keeps his patients looking and feeling great at Alabama Dermatology & Rejuvenation Center in Jasper, Alabama.
Dr. Adar earned his medical degree in the clinical neuroscience pathway from the State University of New York (SUNY) Downstate College of Medicine in Brooklyn where he graduated magna cum laude and was inducted into the nation’s premiere medical honor society Alpha Omega Alpha. Dr. Adar completed an internship at the world renowned Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan and a dermatology residency at the SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn. He then completed fellowship training in Mohs micrographic and cosmetic surgery in Birmingham, Alabama under internationally-renowned Mohs and cosmetic surgeon Dr. Gary Monheit. He is one of the few double board certified physicians in the country holding nationally-recognized accreditation in both Dermatology and Mohs Surgery. In addition to private practice, Dr. Adar maintains a professorship of dermatologic surgery at New York Medical College where he was the director of skin cancer surgery.
