Dr. Amer Atassi brings over twenty-five years of expertise in periodontics and dental implantology. He earned his dental degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and completed his specialty training at Louisiana State University. Holding two master’s degrees—one in Oral Biology and another in Adult Education—Dr. Atassi combines clinical excellence with a passion for education. He also serves as an Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois Chicago College of Dentistry.
Dr. Atassi has authored numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals and remains active in academia as an invited speaker, lecturing on esthetics and dental implants at national and international conferences. While primarily dedicated to private practice, he balances his clinical work with a commitment to advancing dental knowledge through research and teaching.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Atassi resides in Burr Ridge with his wife and two children, Aya and Nureddin. An avid enthusiast of hiking, philately, world history, and anthropology, he also cultivates a talent for calligraphy.
