Dr. Aya Ihmoud is a highly skilled and compassionate dental professional committed to delivering exceptional care to diverse patients. With extensive experience in treating developmentally delayed and medically complex individuals, Dr. Ihmoud is dedicated to ensuring the highest standards of care. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Elmhurst College, followed by her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Indiana University School of Dentistry. Dr. Ihmoud further honed her expertise by completing a year-long General Practice Residency at the University of Michigan Hospital, where she specialized in managing medically complex cases. She’s a proactive member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, and Chicago Dental Society. Dr. Ihmoud is deeply committed to advancing the field of dentistry. She has a particular focus on patients with mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and Autism, as well as those with physical conditions such as ectodermal dysplasia, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and individuals who have experienced domestic violence. Dr. Ihmoud also works to address oral health concerns that may affect overall systemic health, particularly in areas related to liver, heart, kidney, and cancer care.
