I have been looking into leather wallets recently and realized how much conflicting advice is out there. Some people say full-grain is the only thing that matters, others focus on stitching, lining, or even where the leather is sourced from.
From what I have learned so far, leather quality, stitching consistency, edge finishing, and how the wallet ages over time seem more important than brand name. I also noticed that thinner wallets made with good leather tend to hold up better than bulky ones packed with extra layers.
For those of you who have owned leather wallets for a long time, what made the biggest difference for you? Was it the leather type, craftsmanship, or just everyday use? Also curious if anyone prefers minimalist card holders over traditional bi-folds and why.
Would like to hear real experiences rather than marketing claims.
