Woodberry has mind blowing tasty dried shiitake mushrooms which can be ordered online. Just dip them in water and they would plump up. They are good to use in soups, Chinese recipes or as filling in raviolis with a little burnt butter and sage sauce on top of it. What a wonderful combination.

Many in the medical community believe that Shiitake mushrooms have a component called lentinan that fights cancer cells. It is supposedly effective for the prevention of lung cancer and gastrointestinal cancer. My family has a history of cancer, and when I heard about it, I had been eating a few pieces daily. Though, I can't be sure about how effective it is. But the research is out there on the internet, and knowing that I am doing everything I can to prevent a disease makes me feel secure and content.
